CDBG and Home Consolidated/ANNUAL Plans
2010-2014 Consolidated Plan
The City of Avondale needs your input into the five-year 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan identifies the housing and community development needs of low-income and special needs persons and prescribes strategies to address them accordingly. The Annual Action Plan within the Consolidated Plan describes activities that will be undertaken during the fiscal year utilizing CDBG funds to meet the needs in the Consolidated Plan.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is expected to allocate approximately $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and $190,000 in Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds to the City of Avondale for fiscal year 2010, which begins on July 1, 2010 and extends through June 30, 2011.
The City of Avondale is currently seeking your participation! Avondale residents, housing organizations, service providers, businesses, professional associations and others are all welcome and urged to participate in the process.
How do I get involved?
Ø Attend city meetings, make comments, offer suggestions and join in on the discussions.
Ø Arrange to meet with the city staff listed below.
Ø Read the DRAFT 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan and DRAFT 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan and offer your comments by letter or email to the city staff listed below by April 1, 2010.
