Community Outreach               

The City of Avondale's Community Outreach Program works to build a comprehensive list of services and resources to meet the social service needs of its residents.


Current Services:

    Agua Fria Food Bank 

    Food Referrals are available:
    Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

    Clothing Referrals are available:
    Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.



Valley of the Sun Diaper Bank

Eligible residents can receive one week of emergency diapers once a month. 

Please note supplies are limited, 




Salvation Army

SHARE emergency utility assistance.






Social Services Advisory Board

The Social Services Advisory Board is a City Council appointed board which serves as an advisory board to the City Council in identifying social service needs of the community and finding resources to meet those needs.

The Board meets the third Thursday of every month from 8:30am to 10am (excluding July and December) at the Avondale Civic Center, 11465 W. Civic Center Drive.
