The City of Avondale Community Action Program (CAP) is a
program offered in conjunction with the Maricopa County
Human Services department as a means to assist residents
with self-sufficiency while they are experiencing a financial
hardship or crisis in their lives.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Residents of Avondale, Goodyear, and some areas of Litchfield Park
- Proof of income for the past 30 days
- Social security card and proof of birth dates for each member of the household
- Meet Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Additional requirements may apply (depends on service requested)
Services Available:
Currently, funds are unavailable for assistance
- Utility Assistance
- Water Assistance - May through October ONLY
must have a swamp cooler
- Rent/Mortgage Assistance
- Telephone Assistance
must show a medical need
TAP form needs to be completed by your doctor)
- Weatherization - Home repair program
no roofing; home must be owner occupied * If you are a homeowner and are insterested in learning more about the
weatherization, program please contact the Avondale CAP office today.
Availability of any of the services listed above relies on current and available funds.

Anyone requesting assistance must complete a pre-screening form.
