Domestic violence is experienced in every type of relationship, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, gender or sexual orientation. Domestic violence impacts the entire community. It affects friends, neighbors, co-workers and families. It diminishes the quality of life of every citizen in the community. It is an abusers’ goal to control his or her partner. Help is available in order to assist the victim of domestic violence leave the situation and rebuild their life.
