Nestled at the base of the scenic Estrella Mountains, where the Agua Fria and Gila rivers meet, Avondale is located off Interstate 10, just 15-minutes from the heart of Phoenix. In the late 19th century, Avondale was a pit stop on the main thoroughfare for folks racing to the ‘Golden Coast’ via stagecoach or schooner.
