 Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods   2014 Resident Appreciation Night & G.A.I.N - this Saturday, Oct 11 from 6 pm to 9 pm
Come to Historic Avondale the evening of Saturday, October 11th, to participate in a night of many events as Avondale celebrates 'Resident Appreciation Night', G.A.I.N. and Art Walk. Join the street fair of festivities on Western Ave, in Avondale with interactive city booths, raffles, giveaways, local entertainment, safety displays, unique local art, shopping, food and family fun. In early celebration of Halloween, we encourage you to come in costume; take part in a costume parade; and 'Trick or Treat' at each of the booths for candy and giveaways. The event is free.

Avondale Civic Center Library and the Sam Garcia Western Avenue Library now Safe Place sites. The Avondale Public Libraries have joined with Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development’s Safe Place Program to increase Safe Place Sites for youth in crisis in the South West Valley.
