The City Clerk's Department is responsible for the processing of requests for the annexation of properties into the City of Avondale. In order to be considered, a written request must be submitted in writing to the attention of the City Clerk. The written request must contain the following information:
○ Property address
○ Legal description of the property and/or Assessors Parcel numbers
○ Current land uses of all parcels, identify all existing structures and infrastructure
○ Proposed land use of all parcels
NOTE: If a residential development is proposed, identify the number and
type of residential structures planned; rental/purchase costs; construction
schedule for each phase; build-out completion date; estimate of expected
population by race. This information is required for administrative pre-clearance per the Voting Rights Act of 1965, as amended.
○ Name, address and telephone number of all property owners of record
○ If request if being submitted on behalf of the property owner, please attach authorization for representation
○ Name, address and telephone number of contact for request
○ $4,000 deposit (check payable to City of Avondale)
