Avondale's interactive website, which underwent a major redesign in 2012, serves as the primary platform for all our social efforts efforts. Staff's goal is to increase traffic to the city's website as a hub for information. 

The City website is a great resource for you. Visit often to learn what’s going on in your City government. For your convenience you can access many e-services from pay for water bills, register for recreation classes, to apply for permits and so much more, 24/7.

Social media is the collective of online communications channels dedicated to community-based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration.

Social media includes websites and applications that are dedicated to social networking (Facebook, Twitter etc.), forums, blogging, and social curation (Pinterest and Instagram).

Public Invited to take Survey to Guide Redesign of Website

If you use the City of Avondale website now’s your chance to help make it better. To kick off the coming full redesign of the site, community members are being asked to take a quick survey. Questions cover how site visitors use the site, features they would like to see and issues with the current site that they would like to see addressed. The Community Survey is available online through Wednesday, June 29, at

“The City website is our virtual city hall where residents should be able to easily take care of city business like paying bills online, leaving feedback, or quickly finding all the information they need on city programs and events. But to make sure the new website does this well, we need to better understand how our residents and business owners use the site and what their preferences are,” said DeAnn Franklin, Multimedia and Web Coordinator for the City.

The survey is the first in a series of opportunities that community members will have to provide feedback for the new website. Focus groups will also be conducted during the process, if you would like to subscribe to receive email notifications, please join the Citizen Connection email list to become an engaged resident. In November, the City will launch the newly designed site.
