Avondale Police Housing Incentive Program
Summary
The Avondale Police Housing Incentive Program will provide $20,000 to sworn Avondale police officers and sergeants toward the purchase of a home in Avondale. The program is designed to provide an incentive for Avondale police officers and sergeants to live in Avondale and stay with the Avondale police force.  The home must be an existing single family residence used as the primary residence and not used as a rental property or for other family members.  New construction is not eligible.  The funds are provided for down-payment and closing costs toward the purchase at the time of closing.  There is no limit to the price of home that can be purchased as long as the home is within Avondale city limits, and the home is affordable to the homebuyer.  The program will be administered by Neighborhood and Family Services (NFS).
