Save Water in Your Landscape! Avondale Offers Low Water Use Gardening Classes
Sign up now! Avondale’s Water Resources Department is offering a series of free workshops aimed at promoting Xeriscape – or low-water use -- gardening.

Landscaping is unique in the arid southwest. It can be difficult to know when to plant, what to plant and how to care for your plants. Because 70% of your household water use is outdoors, we’re offering several free landscaping classes that can help to save both water and money. Participants will learn how often to water, prune and the basic maintenance of a water thrifty garden. Classes are open to the public at no cost.

Learn how to create a healthy, vibrant landscape without the water waste by attending a class hosted at Avondale City Hall (11465 W. Civic Center Drive) on Thursday evenings 6 to 8:30 p.m. , unless otherwise noted. Pre-registration is required to reserve your seat. Register at  or by calling Esmie Avila at 623.333.4422.
