What is MyLibraryDV?

MyLibraryDV is a unique on-demand video service created by Recorded Books in partnership with the Avondale Public Library.  You can access hundreds of hours of DVD-quality programming on topics such as cooking, travel, and health as well as classic movies and more!  Best of all it is included as part of your library account!

Getting Started
  • Click on the MyLibraryDV (Free Movie Poster) button
  • Install the download manager.  This a one-time requirement that takes 2-4 minutes
  • Choose your program
  • Follow the instructions to log on (it requires a Sam Garcia Western Avenue Library Card).  The download manager remembers you even when you close the connection.  You will not have to repeat this step as long as you do not sign out.

Viewing Your Program
After you have chosen what you want to watch, click the "DOWNLOAD" icon and the title will be added to your "MY DOWNLOADS" play list and begin to download immediately.  Within a few minutes a "PLAY" icon will appear and you can begin watching your program while the download completes.

NOTE:  Varying speeds of broadband can cause buffering.  If this occurs, simply pause viewing and allow the program to finish downloading.

OR:
After you have downloaded a program, open the MyLibraryDV Player on your computer.   Simply to your "MYDOWNLOADS" play list, click the play button next to the program you want to watch and enjoy!
