Helping Young Mothers and Fathers Become Responsible Parents
YOUNG MOTHERS
The Avondale Young Families program provides FREE pregnancy and parenting services and classes to both mothers and fathers! Get the skills and information you need to care for your baby. The program is a great way to receive support from other teen parents and tools you need to accomplish your goals. Programs are focused to provide support for young parents ages 14-21.
Program se
ssions are led by licensed health care professionals and social workers. Sessions include:
Ø Nutrition for you and your baby
Ø Stages of labor and delivery
Ø Childbirth education and techniques
Ø Infant CPR
Ø Health and safety
Ø Breast feeding education
Ø Achieving education and career goals
Ø Building healthy relationships
Ø Early childhood development
Ø And much more!

YOUNG FATHERS
The Young Fathers Program provides FREE parenting classes to young fathers ages 14-21. The program is a great way for young fathers to receive support and develop the skills they need to become responsible and caring dads.

Avondale Young Families Programs are provided at no cost and are a confidential service. Service provided in partnership with Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the Gila River Indian Community.
