Community Services

Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS)

VIPS are an important part of the Avondale Police Department and a valuable asset to law enforcement in Avondale, AZ.  VIPS help to increase police responsiveness, service delivery, internal department administration and distribute public safety information in the Avondale community.  Volunteers with the Avondale Police Department are to supplement and support, rather than replace or substitute, sworn officers and civilian personnel.  View the VIPS page to learn more.

Crime Victim Advocates

Victim Advocates work with victims of crime. These services can range from finding a safe shelter for a domestic violence victim to food or other emergency services for those in need. We work closely with the entire criminal justice system to ensure the Rights of the Victim are not ignored and they have an opportunity to see that the system works in their best interest.  Click here for more information on the Crime Victim Advocates.
